Accessibility is personal: distance, gradient, surface, heat and crowding affect travellers differently. Trace the complete route from the accommodation to the places that matter, including the return journey.

Choosing where to stay

Kyrenia-area hotels vary from central properties to isolated coastal complexes. Check access to restaurants and services outside the hotel.

Ask for the narrowest doorway, lift dimensions, bathroom transfer space, bed height and a step-free route to every hotel facility that will be used. Obtain important commitments in writing.

Airport transfers and local transport

Nearest airport: Ercan Airport or transfer via Larnaca. Flight and border-transfer arrangements can be more complex. Confirm the airport, crossing route, insurance and accessible vehicle for the whole journey.

Tell the transfer company whether the traveller can move into a vehicle seat or must remain in the wheelchair. Provide chair or scooter dimensions, combined weight, companion numbers and luggage details.
